Vegetal and Algae cells

Onion epidermis cell

We’ve observed onion epithelium cells in the optic microscope with the 1rst ESO students. We could distinguish the cell wall and the nucleus. These cells have not chlorophyll because they are from underground stalks called bulbs.

cloroplasts

We’ve also observed fresh water algae and their chloroplasts. Algae are different from vegetables because they don’t have cells organised in tissues.

Congratulations to my students for their good job.
